About the position
We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Manager to oversee all aspects of human resources practices and set up processes in our new US office.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy
- Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues
- Manage the recruitment, selection and onboarding process including preparation of company contracts, background checks, drug screenings etc.
- Set up and administer company benefits, negotiate with brokers
- Payroll administration
- Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics and procedures across the organization
- Prepare and maintain employee handbook
- Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system in alignment with company bonus structure
- Assess training needs and monitor training programs
- Ensure legal compliance throughout human resources management
- Administer leave of absences and workers compensation
Requirements
- Proven working experience as HR Manager or similar role
- People oriented and results driven
- Knowledge of HR systems and databases
- Excellent leadership, negotiation and presentation skills
- In-depth knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices
- Working experience with supporting multi-state employees
- Experience working for a start-up company is a must
- Experience with international sponsorship visas is a plus
