Head of Accounting

The mission of the Head of Accounting is to lead the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely processing data of our company. In our fast growing environment we are looking for a leader with a background in accounting or tax roles, additional experience in controlling or audit would be an advantage. The head of Accounting reports directly to the CFO and collaborates with different teams across Photoneo.

Core responsibilities:

  • Leading and coordinating accounting, audit, due diligence activities
  • Responsible for the monthly closing, inc. VAT
  • Preparation of the financial statements (P&L, BS, CF)
  • Process management
  • Process optimization
  • Focal point for accounting questions
  • Communication with external partners


  • Accounting – according to Slovak law – Advanced
  • Income tax – Advanced
  • VAT – Advanced
  • Microsoft Excel – Advanced
  • Google Sheets – Advanced
  • Experience with SAP Business One is advantage
  • Excellent knowledge of Slovak and International Tax legislation
  • Focus on problem solving, Achieving the goal mindset
  • Leader with Analytical thinking
  • Willingness to learn constantly
  • Experience with IFRS/US GAAP advantage
