Quality engineer

Photoneo as an agile technological start-up is constantly improving their products. Quality engineer manages and oversees quick and successful repair of claimed customers’ devices and updates all necessary information in our ERP system. He/she prepares price calculation of non/post-warranty cases and communicates very closely with our support. He/she should together with Assembly, R&D, L1-L3 support identify the root cause and define corrective actions to improve the quality of our devices and processes.

Core responsibilities

  • Oversees and coordinates repair of claimed devices by the assembly team. Monitor speed of repair and intervene if targets are not going to be met
  • Creation of service reports, estimated repair price and communication with L1-L3 support
  • Analysis of claimed devices (incoming inspection, reproducing claim of customer, analyzing and escalate to higher technical support if necessary)
  • Statistics and categorisation of root causes
  • Targeted analysis of problem points and monitoring/reporting effectiveness of implemented corrective measures
  • Cooperation with Quality Assurance Specialist, Manager of Production and COO
  • Incoming check of components from suppliers in case of quality alert
  • Establishing effective communication channels with suppliers and managing the seamless process of addressing any issues with faulty parts

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • English B2
  • Time management skills: The ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
  • Desire to work in a young and fast environment/company
  • Precision, analytical thinking, ability/willingness to learn
  • Effective communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Technical background or education is a big plus
  • Good knowledge of Google suite (or Microsoft Office)
  • Position is ideal for someone who worked as Quality Assurance in production company and can understand the customer needs

Education and Experience

  • Secondary education or University education
  • Technical background
  • Experience with SAP B1, Jira, Odoo or similar (ERP) system is an advantage
  • Experience with Excel / Google sheets in advanced level (knowledge of data processing) is an advantage
