10 years ago today – the journey began!

An incredible ride of a tiny startup founded by three visionaries – Jan Zizka, Tomas Kovacovsky, and Michal Maly – who worked tirelessly day and night in an old university library on a revolutionary technology that changed the world of 3D vision.

Their pioneering concept finally took the shape of MotionCam-3D – the first and only area-scan 3D camera that could capture 3D scenes in motion without motion blur. Today, Photoneo technology is used in more than 7000 installations worldwide by customers like General Motors, Volkswagen, or Bosch.

Over the decade, Photoneo has expanded into the Photoneo Brightpick Group, today employing more than 300 talented individuals who keep pushing the technological boundaries to shape the future of automation. Plenty more surprises are yet to come!
